April 13, 2012

3:00pm-5:00pm One of the screws from the front wheel brake rotor had a stripped head so I drilled out the screw and tapped new threads into the wheel in order to replace with a new screw.

I found a flaw with the gas tank fairing.  The steering column was rubbing against the plastic while turning.  I fixed this by sawing a piece off the fairing in order to create a relief clearance for the steering column to move freely.

About Me:

My name is Charles Vigilia.  I made this blog to take you through the long process of my senior project motorcycle build.  Countless hours have spent on this project from early weekend mornings, late school nights, trips to the store for supplies, online research, and the physical project itself.  The work I present to you in my blog demonstrates my mechanical ability to repair and restore what was once a small motorcycle that was dismantled into hundreds of pieces upon my purchase.
